This week, I started reading Sherry Turkle's 'Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age', this focuses on how communication has evolved and changed over the past couple of decades. People have started favouring using mobile phones and social media to communicate rather than face-to-face conversation. This is part of the issue I've been exploring, I want to encourage real conversations and connections between people in a non intimidating way. This book has raised some great points to look into and to think about when I make my prototypes. It has also reiterated some of my previous research which has been helpful too.
Along with reading I have sketched some more based on what I've read and started to play with creative collaborative ideas for one of my previous solutions. I also started creating some prototypes of my 'hear-me-box' to see how it could look and work. I plan on testing out my ideas as soon as I can, so I can start reiterating my ideas.
