One of the things I've been considering for the past few weeks is using fabric to make the receiver. I think that it would be interesting for the object and bring another element of softness to the project. Since this project is about a lighthearted way of connecting I believe this would work well.
For the past couple of days, I have been thinking about how I could use fabric to make the receiver aspect of the design. So I've been playing with different ways to add structure to the fabric, so I could find a form that would work well. Initially, I tried weaving felt using scraps to see if I liked the look, I didn't mind it but I don't think it's the right direction for the project. Then I tried adding some stitches into the fabric to build up a structure that I can use to manipulate into a receiver.
Another thing that I've focused on has been getting my neopixels to work with my board (thanks again to Ali) Recently my Arduino board has not been reacting well with my laptop but now it's working again, so now I just need to figure out the Bluetooth element. This is proving a little difficult as there isn't many resources or tutorials on the board model I'm using so it has been trial and error based.
