Following on from last week I started to think of other ways to manipulate fabric to give it the structure I want to create the receiver. After experimenting with different techniques to build a structure within the fabric last week I decided to try treating the fabric as if it were paper.
Initially, I tried using tracing paper to build a structure then I tried to recreate it using fabric, using an iron to create precise folds then joining them together before stitching it all in place to hold it together.
I decided on this method because I didn't like the look of what I've previously done. I'm still unsure if this is the direction I want to go but I do like the idea of having something soft. I plan to have a smaller cube on the side with LEDS on its exterior to have the receiver light up evenly. On the inside of this cube, the technology will sit and a base will be placed over it before I close up the fabric cube finishing the receiver.
