So things have started to become slightly chaotic, the university has been disrupted due to covid-19. So certain precautions have been put in place for the safety of the community.
Luckily the facilities are open for us to continue work while practising social distancing. This is ideal as I've been running into some technical issues with my project.
At the weekend I was finally able to install essential libraries needed for my project after some unknown issues were previously preventing this going ahead. However, my code was still not working and I didn't know why components were connected correctly and as far as I knew my code was correct. After spending hours playing around with the Arduino, looking at other code and testing other boards I decided to ask for help.
As the university has stopped face-to-face contact it could prove difficult to ask for some help especially as it involves some debugging and playing about with the Arduino. Thankfully though Ali was able to help fix the issues that were occurring while keeping social distance. (Thanks, Ali! The social shield was also a great addition to the make space.) My colour sensor which plays a huge role in my project had not been giving off meaningful data that I can use. Now my colour sensor works as it should! Now I just need to connect it to my other board and neopixels.
